A railfan/trainspotter, is a person interested in a recreational capacity in rail transport.  Railfans often combine their interest with other hobbies, especiallyphotography and videography, radio scanning, model railroading, studying railroad history and participating in train station and rolling stock preservation efforts.

You might be wondering, why I am saying this, when this page has title, 'About me'.  Since this site contains mostly picture of rail roads, and the first paragraph in this page would have given you hint about me. Yes, I am a Rail Fan, or in other words, one of my main hobby is Rail Fanning. People with this hobby can be generally seen near railway tracks or stations, clicking pictures or taking video of trains. You might be able to find me in the areas mentioned before. But not always, because Rail Fanning is just my hobby, which i do during free time and when i get the feel of doing it. Since I am a lazy person, i hardly goes near track to click the picture. But, when hobby over come laziness, i will be near the track.  By Profession, i am a techie, who works in one of the leading software companies in India, in Chennai. Even though, am not a expert photographer, i love taking pictures, especially that of train and this site is for our own Indian Railway.
